S H A R P Award Press Conference

Leading The Safety Industry By Demonstrating Outstanding Safety Practices On-Site Everyday

AccuformNMC is certified by OSHA"s Safety and Healthy Awareness Program (S.H.A.R.P).

In the Business of Safety

AccuformNMC has recently become a S.H.A.R.P. (Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program) certified business, a top accolade of safe work practices. As part of the rigorous safety certification, AccuformNMC agreed to implement and maintain a safety and health management system that addresses OSHA’s Safety and Health Program Management Guidelines. AccuformNMC must also work to reduce its Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART) rate,  and Total Recordable Case (TRC) rate below national average. The certification involves an ongoing effort to maintain and improve safety standards; AccuformNMC has agreed  to notify its state Consultation Project Office prior to making changes to working conditions or introducing new hazards into the workplace.

Charlene Sitterly, program director of USF SafetyFlorida, says that earning a S.H.A.R.P. award is a badge of honor. “Businesses dedicated to workplace safety and health that earn this award work tremendously hard every day to keep their people safe. I commend AccuformNMC for its commitment to their employees’ safety and well-being.”

AccuformNMC is very proud to be one of under 100 companies that are S.H.A.R.P. certified. As a company manufacturing safety products, the certification identifies AccuformNMC as uniquely and sincerely dedicated to a culture of safety. The program requires the company to collaborate with employees throughout the consultation process, reinforcing the commitment to individual safety, health, and communication that AccuformNMC has repeatedly shown since its inception. Actively striving for better working conditions within its own walls is one of the many ways that AccuformNMC has developed trust and respect in the local community, among employees, and within the safety industry.
